At S.O.A.R. Tutoring and Advocacy, we are dedicated to ensuring every child’s individual uniqueness is acknowledged, valued, and respected, and we believe that all students can learn, succeed, and reach their fullest potential when provided a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment. Our non-profit organization focuses on meeting our students “where they are”, and through the execution of all pillars of our organization, our students continue to progress academically, socially, and emotionally. Most importantly, they are learning how they can become positive “difference makers” in their communities. While our organization focuses on neurodivergent students, we strive to support all students and their families in our local community by providing a unique learning experience as an alternative schooling option.
As a growing educational non-profit organization, our organization is built on the following pillars: special education advocacy, providing educational resources and guidance to families and educators, tutoring, and academic support and a Hybrid Academy offering support to homeschooled students.
Advocacy (helping families navigate the Individualized Educational Plan (IEP)/504 in the local school systems to obtain services that are put in place federally under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) that a child needs in order to succeed in their educational setting.)
Community Resources (services to provide awareness, information, education, training and guidance to families, educators and the community through an array of local resources.)
Tutoring (our experienced educators carefully assess the individual learning strengths and weaknesses, develop individualized lessons, and work with each child’s special needs to meet the academic goals of each student.)
Academic Support Program/Hybrid Academy (this unique program supports homeschool students who do not thrive in the “traditional educational model”. These students have the opportunity to receive prescriptive, research based, Orton Gillingham and multi-sensory approach teaching while also having their social and emotional needs met. Students receive instruction based upon their individual learning style and a whole child approach to achieve true academic and functional potential.)
We are truly passionate about the needs of every student we are blessed to work with. We are so proud of what we’ve already achieved, but we want to make a difference and have a larger impact within our community.
We want to make sure that every student who truly needs the resources our organization can provide is able to have their needs met and that the family’s financial situation is not hindering that.
As a growing educational non-profit we want to make sure our educators have the most up to date knowledge and training to meet the specific needs of our students.
With the costs of our different programs and the cost of our teacher trainings, we need the support of generous businesses like you to get our Scholarship Program (for our students and teacher training) off the ground and lay a strong foundation.
To discuss the building of our Scholarship Program, our organization and how you can get involved, please feel free to contact us.
We hope to hear from you soon. Thank you in advance for your generosity.
